Knowledge Base: How do i edit the content of a page?

Introduction

To edit a page in LabelEd, first navigate to the "Content" section of the administration area by clicking the link in the left-hand navigation, under Site Management.

Please note that there is a distinction between a page in LabelEd, and a page which has been generated from an item. If the content you want to edit is related directly to a specific item, such as a product or news article, please see the Item Management documentation.

The site browser

The site browser uses the same 3 columns interface that you may have seen when managing collections.
Using this interface, you can click on any element in a column, and it's contents will display in the column to the right. The interface will keep scrolling further right until there are no more elements to view.

Navigate through your site's hierarchy until you find the page you would like to edit, then click on the action button to move to the edit screen.

Editing the page

The edit page screen is very similar to other edit screens in LabelEd. In the upper part of the form you can select a language and toggle a language on or off, and see information about the current revision, and optionally view previous revisions.

The lower part of the edit screen is split into seperate tabs, the first of which contains the actual content fields for your page. These fields can be changed to modify your page copy. Most fields can be formatted using Markdown to add headings, links, bold text, etc.

The second tab allows you to edit the meta information for your page, such as it's title, description and keywords. Please see the meta information article for more help with this.

If your page can contain assets such as images, files or galleries, a third tab will contain the slots to allow you to manage these.
