About: How search engine friendly is LabelEd?

Very!

Yeah, well that was the short answer...

How search engine friendly a website is depends on all sorts of factors, from the quality of your content and how often it's updated, right through to the technical layout of the html markup that makes up each page.

We've done our best to ensure that LabelEd is never the limiting factor, and we've done this in a number of ways.

Look at our urls.

This support website is powered by LabelEd, so if you keep an eye on the text in your browser's address bar as you click from page to page, you'll see how there aren't usually any ugly question marks and funny numbers. You can pretty much work out what each page is from it's address alone, and search engines love this.

Meta information

Meta info, such as titles, descriptions and keywords can be configured site wide, or page and item level from within LabelEd. You can handle this yourself if you wish, or let us optimise for you, the choice is always yours.

Standards compliant HTML

The designers at Label Media always code to W3C XHTML Strict standards. Go ahead and validate us. ;-) Not only does this ensure that the maximum number of people can use your website (such as those with disabilities or impaired vision), but it also helps the search engines to read all of your content.

Content and updates

Search engines can't get enough of quality content that changes on a regular basis, and updating your content is exactly what LabelEd allows you to do with ease.

If you would like more information on any of these topics, please feel free to get in touch.
